    Meet some of the animals!

    A Day to Remember

There is always something new at Newquay Zoo. Explore the new rainforest exhibit in the zoos tropical house where you will discover a whole world of exotic animals. Water cascades down the ancient temple walls to the pools filled with tropical fish. Spot the iguanas, sloths and flying fox bats and explore the mini beasts room featuring a new Arrow Poison Frog enclosure. Amongst the sub-tropical lakeside gardens live hundreds of animals from all around the world ranging from small rare monkeys to shy red pandas. Look out for meerkats on sentry duty, penguins playing in their pool and glimpse the strange and endangered lemurs and fossa. Other highlights of the day include feeding time talks and the animal encounters where you can meet keepers and some of the animals.

Other new highlights include a new tortoise enclosure, a large aviary housing South East Asian birds, a new Vietnamese hut style enclosure for Hamlet the Pot-bellied pig and refurbishment of the Asian short-clawed otters enclosure in the oriental garden.

This award winning zoo is fun for all age groups. The zoo gardens also feature a tarzan trail, a children's play area and the dragon maze. Events are run throughout the year and group bookings are always welcome. There is ample car and coach parking. The site is mainly level and is wheelchair friendly.
