Inclusion for all is a key policy at Living Coasts and we welcome visits from all sectors including specialist schools and groups. We offer reduced prices to registered disabled visitors and carers are admitted free.

  • Living Coasts is a compact site with gentle gradients and no steps – making it ideal for older visitors as well as those with mobility problems.
  • There is a lift available for access to the first floor Café.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.
  • Two wheelchairs are available for loan.
  • We have disabled toilets on both the ground and first floors.
  • Although we do not have our own car park, there is a Council run car park next to us, which has 3 designated disabled car parking spaces. We do have a small coach parking area, which can be used for minibuses and coaches. Please book in advance.

Living Coasts is a unique, world class aquatic visitor attraction, focusing on the conservation of coastal and marine life around the globe. It has been developed by Paignton Zoo, with financial support from the South West Regional Development Agency and the European Regional Development fund.

Take a fantastic journey around the coastlines of the world without leaving Torquay! Living Coasts features a range of fascinating coastal creatures from loud and loveable penguins to playful fur seals, colourful puffins to waders and sea ducks - they're all at home in this amazing new environment.
