There is a growing demand from larger groups of family and friends for Dove Farm cottages.

Dove farm is conveniently situated on the borders of the Derbyshire Dales, close to the Peak District National Park. We are easy to find, in the village of Ellastone, only 10 minutes from the A50 (Uttoxeter or Sudbury junctions).

Just 3 miles from Alton Towers and 5 miles from Ashboume, the gateway to Dovedale - Dove Farm makes an excellent, central starting point for enjoying all the activities Staffordshire and Derbyshire have to offer.

Three spacious, luxury cottages, together with adjoining seminar suite, now form part of our working family farm. Looking out on to the river Dove, these 18th century barn conversions, offer an exceptional blend of contemporary style and historic flavour.

None of our kitchens have been adapted (as yet?) so wheelchair users do need to have non-disabled people with them, so they do not go hungry!!

All cottages have central heating and are decorated and furnished to a high standard. They are well equipped with TV, video and hi-fi and have modern, stylish kitchens. Towels, bed linen and heating are all included in the price.

The cottages share a secure and sheltered patio garden - ideal for barbecues, safe for small children. There is also a designated picnic and play area.

Situated alongside our family farmhouse, you will have an ideal opportunity to observe and experience daily life on a working family farm. Watch the tractors in action or help feed the animals - we have a variety of livestock, from traditional cattle, pet sheep and goats, to the more exotic alpacas and one resident llama! Our free-range ducks and hens never refuse an extra snack, and usually provide eggs in return.

Country walks are literally on the door-step - whatever your energy levels may be. You can head for the Weaver hills or stroll along our unspoilt stretch of the river Dove. Fly fishing permits by arrangement, and tuition for beginners.
