Falmouth offers two resorts in one: On the North East Side A town full of history and picturesque narrow streets with a wide variety of shops and one of the worlds largest natural deep-water harbours providing ample opportunities for sailing, sea-angling and many pleasure boat trips to the River Fal, St Mawes and the nearby Helford River. Falmouth Harbour is renowned for its sailing activities including the Tall Ships Race and the Maritime Museum. On the South Side There are four lovely beaches to relax, swim or explore rock pools or, for the more energetic, diving and wind-surfing; also unforgettable coastal walks, sub-tropical gardens and Pendennis Castle on the headland at the south of the estuary from which there are splendid views for miles around. As you bypass Penryn and enter the boundary of Falmouth, stay on the A39 following the signs for the docks and Beaches (avoidng the Town Centre); go straight across at the traffic lights at Kimberley Park Road, straight across the next mini roundabout into Western Terrace, then right at the next mini roundabout into Pennance Road. Trevaylor is on your right hand side. By Coach. Coaches arrive and depart from the Moor, Falmouth, where there is a taxi rank. Trevalor is about a three minute drive from there. By Train. There are three Halts in Falmouth. The second one call Falmouth (The Dell) is a short taxi ride or a 10 minute walk. When you leave the platform, keep to the right all the way, down the ramp out of the car park, under the railway bridge up Avenue Road. At the junction take a right turn into Melville Road until you reach a mini roundabout. Take a left into Pennnance Road. |
