Hollister Limited announces the launch of Advance Hydro Soft all-in-one hydrophilic intermittent catheter. The silicone, latex-free catheter comes in a sterile, all-in-one package, so there is no need for any preparation outside the packaging or an external water source. The enclosed packet provides all the water necessary to activate the slippery hydrophilic coating without ever having to open the catheter packaging. The intermittent catheter is designed to provide comfort and convenience to people who have lost the ability to control their bladder function, including those with spinal cord injuries and congenital conditions such as Spina Bifida.

Advance Pre-lubricated intermittent catheters

Advance intermittent catheters have a gel reservoir which ensures that the catheter is evenly lubricated as it travels through the reservoir. Users can also dispense extra gel to meet their individual needs simply by squeezing the reservoir during insertion. The catheter can be inserted using the no-touch technique, which helps to prevent urinary tract infections.

Advance Plus intermittent catheters have a gel reservoir which ensures that the catheter is evenly lubricated as it travels through the reservoir. The catheter has a protective tip to help bypass the first 15mm of the distal urethra where the bulk of the bacteria are present. This helps to prevent urinary tract infections. As well as inserting the catheters with the no-touch technique. Urine is collected in a 1500ml urine collection bag, allowing discreet and secure urine collection.
