Ground Floor Accommodation
Summary:
Upstairs Horsemill Cottage is a lovely new barn conversion just outside the pretty village of St Boswells (shops, pub, hotel) in the beautiful and historic Borderland about 10 miles north of Jedburgh. It is tranquilly situated, surrounded by woods and fields at the end of a short track, 1 mile from the main A68 Newcastle-Edinburgh trunk road and therefore has easy access to Edinburgh, the Berwickshire coast and north Northumberland - all within one hours drive. It has been fitted and furnished to a high standard - the stunning hexagonal sittingroom is glazed on all sides, and the twin bedroom with shower-room is ideal for the not-so-nimble. Upstairs there is another bathroom and an imaginatively designed gallery leading to a double-bed room. Outside, the extensive patio (furniture) is ideal for sunbathing, while for the slightly more energetic there are walks along the River Tweed to ruined Dryburgh Abbey - where there is a hotel for refreshment nearby. Fishing, golf, riding, tennis, canoeing etc. are all available locally for sporty types; while for shoppers there are all the woollen-mill and craft shops to visit in the small and attractive Border towns; and literally scores of attractions - historic and scenic - to visit within a 50 mile radius. Heating by gas CH and electricity, bed-linen and towels are all INCLUDED. Pets are accepted by arrangement.
