The Wheelhouse

Ground floor Accommodation
Summary: The Old Mill and Granary on the edge of the former 'gypsy' village of Kirk Yetholm in The Cheviot Hills is just one mile from the English Border and 8 miles south of Kelso. Dating from 1600s, and originally thatched, the self-contained lower half of this building - The Wheelhouse - has now been beautifully modernised into a delightful pied-a-terre which guarantees visitors an easy, stress-free holiday in this lovely part of The Scottish Borders, splendid views of which can be seen from the windows. A few hundred yards from the village pub (good meals)- where thirsty walkers completing the 270-mile Pennine Way can claim the half pint Mr Wainright bequeathed them - near to The Bowmont Water, and not far from the few thatched and quaint cottages, village green and shops, The Wheelhouse will become a firm, very comfortable favourite with couples who want to explore the spectacular countryside and coast of the English/Scottish Borders which is all around them. Oil-fired central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all INCLUDED. Pets by arrangement. Smoking is not allowed within the house.
