Stunning beachfront hideaway set in one acre of very private tropical gardens which lead down to a deserted beach and the India Ocean. Safe swimming and good snorkelling. Amazing sunsets from the terrace. Chauffeured airport collection and tours can be arranged in air conditioned vehicle. The roomy single storey plantation villa is located approximately 1 km from Weligama town on the south coast and set in a traffic free location, well beyond the west coast tourist trail. Only the sound of the waves and birds can be heard from the terrace.... Villa Hibiscus is a secluded tropical haven of peace and tranquillity for you to relax and enjoy. The one acre gardens contain over 100 coconut palms, lemon, banana and papaya trees, succulents and, of course, many varieties of Hibiscus shrubs, but it is the idyllic private setting that is stunning. The lawns fade down to the deserted beach and the Indian Ocean with perfectly safe bathing within the bay which is surrounded by a colourful tropical reef and good for snorkelling. There is a diversity of tropical animals: monkeys, goannas, mongoose, squirrels and birds such as parrots and kingfishers. Villa Hibiscus sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 double bedrooms (2 en suite) with ceiling fans and mosquito nets. All linen (Egyptian Cotton) is supplied. There is a CD for your use together with telephone which accepts incoming international calls. A television is also available (if requested). All meals are cooked to order and will include a variety of fresh fish and fruit, or traditional Sri Lankan dishes can be enjoyed al fresco on the terrace. Soft drinks are available at any time but please bring your own alcohol. A daily newspaper is provided, and laundry can be arranged at extra cost. Villa Hibiscus' permanent staff consist of an English speaking manager, house boy, 2 cooks and a gardener. |
