Kyte Lodge is a superb barn conversion, with polished wooden floors covering a living space that has been purposely designed to give an open-plan and social layout. This means that when not relaxing in one of the 4 bedrooms, guests are able to fully interact - and nobody is left stuck in the kitchen!

The impressive Stable Cottage is the largest of our three self-catering units, and like Hazel Cottage it has also been designed for wheelchair users.
There is a wide and low-level front door that allows easy access, and all rooms are set on the ground floor. Once inside you’ll see a welcoming, open plan living and dining area complete with a large table for up to six guests. As with all of our self-catering units, Stable Cottage has a fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer and Microwave. This kitchen also has the added feature of a height-adjustable hob and sink, allowing a wheelchair to fit underneath.

Three of our four rooms are on the ground-floor - offering a superb choice for those who require disabled access. We comfortably satisfy the requirements of M1 grading in the National Accessibility Scheme and only fail to get a higher grading because of doorway width. So long as your wheelchair can turn into doorways of 28” (72cm) that shouldn’t be a problem for you. Access to the house is from concrete parking with no steps throughout the public areas (with the exception of Room Four upstairs!)

The hotel backs onto the River Yeo with good views of aircraft flying from RNAS Yeovilton and Yeovil our nearest town is only 6 miles away. The Fleet Air Arm Museum is only one and a half miles away and is well worth a visit.

Fowl Green Farm is a traditional hill sheep farm of approximately 86 acres, close to the village of Commondale. It sits on a south facing slope above Commondale beck, at the end of a two mile bridle path which takes us to the slightly larger village of Castleton.
We have recently restored our C18th rough stone and pantile buildings using traditional materials and methods. Three of these old buildings, the barn, the cowbyre and the pigsties, have been converted into holiday accommodation which is wheelchair accessible. In the section headed "the cottages" you will find descriptions and photographs detailing the facilities available as well as an overview of the farm yard.

Over thousands of years water erosion through the limestone has formed many amazing sights, such as Ingleborough Cave, which is festooned with stalactites and stalagmites, or Gaping Gill the most dramatic of North Yorkshire`s pot holes where water hurtles down in a single jet over 365ft to the floor.
