The Garland Appeal

The Garland Appeal is a registered charity in both the US and the UK that raises funds for helping the fight against cancer and to support the healing power of music. In the UK the goal is to raise £2 million with funds being donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and The Ark Facility at the North Hampshire Hospital, as well as to support British Music. In the USA, we can raise $2 million and the cancer beneficiary will be MRI breast cancer research.

The Young Survival Coalition (YSC)

The Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer. Through action, advocacy and awareness, the YSC seeks to educate the medical, research, breast cancer and legislative communities and to persuade them to address breast cancer in women 40 and under. The YSC also serves as a point of contact for young women living with breast cancer.

USA - American Breast Cancer Foundation

To date the American Breast Cancer Foundation's "Save A Life" Campaign has provided free mammograms to thousands of women who otherwise could not afford to have the screening.
We visit hospitals, give seminars, and send out hundreds of thousands of newsletters educating the public.
Our goal in 2001 is to reach two million women though outreach events, newsletters, television, telephone, and the Internet. We continue to offer free or low cost mammograms to women who cannot afford them.
